A quick pic of today’s lunch that I couldn’t share on the stories! On my plate, clockwise-

🌿White Lobia curry ( Recipe shared earlier)
🌿 Purple Cabbage & Beetroot stir Fry
🌿 Yam/ Suran/ Zimikand Bharta
🌿 Whole wheat Mawa Cake

I recently learnt about Yam Bharta from my Mom when she came here last month. A very traditional, unique and super delicious recipe from her kitchen. Some of you have asked the recipe earlier from the lunch box , hence sharing it below:

Boil yam and mash it. Take 1/2 tsp oil in a wok, heat it and add jeera, kalonji seeds and mustard seeds. Add salt, turmeric powder, 1 chopped onion, garlic cloves and green chillies. Saute them for about 15 min at low flame and add boiled yam. Mix it well and squeeze fresh lemon juice. You are good to serve 😊 It’s consistency is like glucomole and it’s a great side dish ☺️ Do share with me if you make it πŸ€—
