Gujarati Kadhi- A combination of sweet, sour and spicy flavors made using buttermilk and gram flour. Few years back I stayed in Jamnagar for around 3 months. It’s a small city of Gujarat surrounded by many temples, parks and gardens. The city is an amazing hub for foodies and i can never forget the famous dryfruit kachodi, street chaat of patel colony, ‘ kadbad ice- cream’ from Ram dairy and breakfast mornings with Jalebi & fafda! In short those 3 months were the best days of my life 😃

Our favourite Restaurant was Aaram Restraunt which served lipsmacking traditional Gujarati food and I learnt a lot from that place.

This kadhi is always served with Gujarati thali along with myraid of other delicious items.

A very regular at our home since almost 5 years now and you must have seen that in my lunchbox stories too. Whenever I make ghee at home I always make this kadhi from home- made Buttermilk that gets churned out during the process and trust me it’s a game changer.

I have learnt this recipe from my friend’s Gujarati house help in Jamnagar and we totally love it.

Sharing the recipe in the comments for all those who are interested to try! Trust me, you will fall in love with it ❤️

Served it with steamed rice and kachumber salad – simple, comforting and yet very delicious meal ❤️

Happy Friday, everyone! Please be very safe ❤️
