🌿KESAR PISTA KULFI
I was very fortunate to spend my childhood in a joint family with grandparents and cousins. My grandmother was hard working lady totally devoted to house and children.
I never saw her sitting idle even for a minute. She did cooking, stitching and knitting.
Even while she couldn’t stand for long hours owing to health issues, she continued to cook.
Things like papads, pickles, Desserts were her favorites. We all used to particularly devour the delicious desserts and the memories of her kulfis are forever etched in my heart (and my tongue)
She herself loved kulfis and would make so many of them at one time. We kids used to enjoy it to the hilt. As much as she was passionate about making desserts, she was very particular about her utensils- Big iron kadais , copper utensils and ofcourse her kulfi moulds. When I wanted to buy these moulds I could only find the plastic ones everywhere. But my desire to get the ones identical to what my Dadi used, finally ended at one of the shops in the iconic ‘Sadar Bazaar’ in Old Delhi.
I was so ecstatic to find the similar ones. Not only do they make the perfect kulfis, they reminds me of her delicious kulfis and pure love ❤️ Swipe left to see the moulds ❤️ This is my contribution to the Festive story at . Looking forward to your contributions. The story can be Short or long, Fairy or Funny, Dramatic or exciting 😄 We would love to hear and read.
