Panjiri- A traditional Punjabi sweet mostly consumed in winters. Strongly recommended and enjoyed during postpartum period in almost all Punjabi homes. It’s one of those heirloom recipes passed from one generation to another and I am sure everyone have their own version. I learnt about it after my marriage and it was definitely the best snack when little A was born. My Mother in law makes it fondly every year during winters and gives us one full ‘dabba’ with all the love and warmth โค๏ธMade with whole wheat flour, edible gum (gond) lots of dry fruits, makhanas, ghee and sweetned with karara ( Desi form of sugar used mainly for making ladoos because of its grainy texture) This serves as a nutritional supplement to counter the those mid meal hunger pangs and sweet cravings!! It can be rolled into ladoos as well but as Mom says it is best had this way๐Ÿ‘† slightly warmed, with a glass of milk and this surely keeps you full for hours ๐Ÿ˜„

Have a great week everyone ๐Ÿ’›
